Let's look at the nature of our candles. Our candles are ethically produced in small quantities using eco-friendly components and packaging. Our candles are cruelty-free, vegan, and made without the use of parabens, phthalates or petroleum ingredients. We also make use of 100% soy wax that comes from sustainable agricultural crops within the USA. But what exactly is soy and why is it important?

Soy wax originates from soybeans (shocking isn't it?). They accomplish this by taking cleaned, cracked, dehulled soybeans and rolling them into flakes. The process alters the melting temperature so that it is stable at room temperature and ideal for candles. What do you think of other waxes? Well, there are three different waxes which are frequently used in candles. These are; paraffin wax, beeswax, as well as coconut wax. Let's discuss them. Lastly is the coconut oil. Apart from the high cost, it's also difficult to obtain authentic coconut oil. This is primarily because of how soft coconut wax is. Because it has such a low melting point, most coconut waxes are a blend, including one of the waxes mentioned above. While this in itself is not a problem, but due to the lack of transparency from manufacturers and the complicated language they use, it's nearly impossible to vancouver candle company discern exactly what is in the mix, and even the reason why they're mixed in the first instance.
